If you are a merchant that uses the Klaviyo marketing platform, then you will be familiar with their Flow automations. A great new feature of Grapevine Surveys is the ability for a survey response to be set as the Trigger for a Klaviyo Flow.
The benefits of this new feature are almost limitless:
- Segmentation: Segmenting your Klaviyo audience based on survey responses ensures that tailored emails can be sent with content relevant to the survey topic.
- Engagement: Follow up on survey responses with a promotional offer, or an invite to further relevant surveys.
- Feedback: Follow-up emails for additional insights or to address any concerns highlighted within the initial survey response.
- Thank Customers: Show appreciation to respondents for taking the time to participate in the survey. A great way to maintain positive customer relations.
There are many scenarios where this new feature can be the impetus for further positive engagement.
This article will walk you through the simple steps required to set up a survey response as a Klaviyo Flow Trigger.

At the end of Standalone survey URL:
Filtering the flow to a specific survey code is an important step. Without this filter, the flow could be triggered by any responses received for other live surveys that you may have live. This could result in customers receiving emails with a completely different subject matter to the survey they answered.
* Apply flow to Specific Question code - Add here or separate article?
6. Click on the option for Trigger Filters:
7. Click on the Add a Trigger Filter button:
8. Within the Trigger Setup section we will fill the dimension and dimension values in the next step:
9. Select survey_code as the Dimension, and paste your survey code as the Dimension Value:
10. Click Save:
11: Then click Done:
