Unlimited responses
Grapevine allows you to collect an unlimited number of responses.
Reclassify responses
This feature is particularly useful for those Merchants who enable the Other survey response option. The Other option is a survey response that allows customers to type in their answer to the survey as freeform text, usually providing a unique response.
Merchants can reclassify these responses so that they fit into one of their predefined survey options, or, they may wish to create a new survey option off the back of some of the responses received.

Export responses
You can filter and then export your Grapevine survey responses to a CSV file ready for analysis and inclusion into your monthly marketing report.

Custom CSS styling
If you'd like to customise the style of your Grapevine survey widget, we have an area within the apps settings where you can add your own CSS styles to override the default styling.

Survey engagement stats
The Grapevine dashboard let's you see at a glance how customers are engaging with your survey by showing you the number of impressions your survey has received and the response rate per impression. Identify which response is generating the most revenue and which sales channels are receiving the most amount of responses.
4 survey question types
We have 4 types of post purchase survey question that can be created within Grapevine:
- Single-choice question
- Multiple-choice question
- Net Promoter Score (NPS) question
- Open text question
When asking multiple questions within a single survey, you can introduce a content block between questions to provide more context about the next set of questions.
Activating a new survey
We know that some Merchants like to change their survey question to match their marketing campaigns throughout the retail calendar. Instead of editing the answer options of an existing survey you can deactivate a live survey and replace it with a fresh new one. All reports and responses are stored against each survey, removing the clutter of old responses from the dashboard to provide clear insight from the engagement with your current survey.

Create custom segments with Google Analytics
Once enabled, we'll send events into your Google Analytics account each time a user views or responds to your survey. For this integration to work, you will need to have Google Analytics already set-up in your store.

Activating one survey per sales channel
Not only can you archive surveys to start afresh, but you can also create multiple surveys and allocate one to each sales channel you use to sell your products. For example, you can activate one survey for customers checking out via your online store and activate another for customer buying in person via Shopify POS.
Tailor your surveys to the channel where your customers have found you and gain deeper insight by asking more specific questions.

Survey reminders
Whilst we see great capture rates for the Grapevine survey on the Order Status Page, not all customers wait for the page to load before closing their browser or navigating away from the page. Not all Merchants use Shopify's default Order Status Page either, which is why we've put together a solution to allow Customers to fill in the Survey at a later date. By inserting a small snippet of code into your Shipping Confirmation email template, Customers can click through to a dedicated Grapevine Survey page on your site to complete your survey and have their order value associated with the survey response.

Enabling your survey on Shopify POS
If you sell in person using the Shopify POS app, then you can also collect survey submissions at point of sale. This helps you to gain insight into why customers decided to shop at your store and collect other valuable zero party data from your customers.

Applying survey responses as order and customer tags in Shopify
Tagging adds an extra layer of information that can be pushed into 3rd party Order Management, CRM or Email Marketing systems to provide powerful customer segmentation for retargeting.
You may have received orders from Customers who found out about your store by walking past your brick and mortar shop. If the customer has completed your survey and their order is tagged with their response, e.g. "Walked past shop" then you can include a flyer when packing up their order to inform them of a special shopping event at the store.

Klaviyo integration
Attach survey responses to customer profiles in Klaviyo. This allows you to create email flows based on a customer's response to your survey. You could even create a flow for those customers who don't respond to your survey.

Standalone survey pages
Embracing the increasing importance of zero-party data to merchants, we've introduced standalone survey pages that can be used to collect customer sentiment, preferences and feedback about products and services at any point throughout the customer sales cycle.
This powerful feature enables you to publish numerous surveys' as pages hosted within your store. If you're already gathering customer attribution insights with a post-purchase survey, standalone surveys can build on those insights as customers pass through each touchpoint of the sales cycle.

Distributing standalone surveys using OrderlyEmails
The method you choose to distribute standalone surveys will depend on which stage of the customer journey your survey is intended to gather feedback on.
Shopify's email notifications are widely used to notify customers at crucial customer touchpoints, like an abandoned checkout, confirmation of shipping, an order refund or the approval of a return request.
Shopify's default notification emails can be quite basic and not that easy to customize. Many of our merchants have utilized the OrderlyEmails app to fully brand their email notifications and drop in post-purchase discounts, recommended products and upsells at the same time.

Shopify Flow integration
Our Shopify Flow triggers allow you to pass survey response data directly into Shopify Flow for further processing. Whether you have other apps or systems connected to Shopify Flow, or you're just looking to push all of your survey data into a Google Sheet, our Flow triggers provide a flexible solution that is seamlessly integrated within your Shopify environment.
Shopify Flow workflows can be set-up to analyse each survey response against a set conditions and take any actions necessary. For example, you may want to undertake certain actions when a particular response is received, like send an email to the admin team when a low NPS score is selected, or add a specific tag to an order. You may simply wish to send all survey responses into a Slack channel for the team to keep an eye on.
Using our Shopify Flow triggers allows you to take control of your survey response data, providing you with unlimited flexibility over what happens next.

Embeddable surveys
If you or your team are building out headless Shopify solutions, introducing the same functionality provided by 3rd party Shopify apps can sometimes cause unnecessary stress. With that in mind, we provide an elegant and stress free solution to surface customer experience surveys at any stage of your hand crafted headless storefront.
